Madelyn Schlaepfer

Behavioral Health and Recovery Services
Dr. Schlaepfer is the Director for Behavioral Health & Recovery Services. In this role, she provides direction and oversight of both Mental Health programs and Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Programs. In addition to more than fifteen years of senior level management experience, Dr. Schlaepfer has more that twenty years of direct clinical experience, involving both mental health and alcohol and other drug treatment. She is an active member of both the California Mental Health Directors Association (CMHDA) and the County Alcohol and Drug Program Administrators Association of California (CADPAAC).
Dr. Schlaepfer received her undergraduate education from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Her graduate education was at Ohio State University where she received her PhD in Child-Clinical Psychology and Developmental Psychology. After graduate school, she relocated in Turlock where she was a Visiting Lecturer at California State University, Stanislaus. She left this position to begin her work as a psychologist with Stanislaus County Department of Mental Health at the counseling centers in Turlock and Ceres. She continued to teach part-time for several years after leaving CSUS. She also had a brief experience with private practice where she specialized in forensic evaluations of children and youth. |
